Main component: 100% viscose (human cotton); Stretchable style: 95% viscose + 5% spandex (human cotton stretch fabric)
Common yarn count: 30-40S; Tighter ring-spun quality is better, with less fuzz and better anti-tear performance.

Products Features

1. Feel and drape: The texture is soft and smooth, softer than all-cotton sweat fabric, with excellent draping performance, and the finished garment is not prone to becoming stiff; the luster is soft and matte, without the plastic-like shine of synthetic fibers, and has a similar appearance to real silk.

2. Moisture absorption and breathability, cool touch upon contact: Recycled cellulose fiber, moisture absorption rate is 12-14%, significantly higher than cotton (8.5%), quickly absorbs sweat, and brings a cool sensation when in contact with the skin in summer, less prone to excessive sweating and stickiness in hot environments; high porosity, good air circulation, suitable for close-fitting summer clothing.

3. Anti-static: High moisture regain rate, not prone to static electricity in dry environments, and not prone to attracting dust.

4. Elasticity: Single-sided weft and warp knitting, good lateral elasticity, average longitudinal elasticity; after adding spandex, the lateral and longitudinal rebound is significantly improved, suitable for slim-fit styles. Pure cotton without spandex is prone to relaxation and becoming looser and looser after repeated stretching.

5. Environmental attributes: Wood pulp/cellulose from bamboo, biodegradable; note: The production process of ordinary viscose contains many chemical procedures, when exporting to the EU, it is recommended to choose OEKO-TEX Standard-100 fabric.

Weaving and dyeing process characteristics

1. Weaving difficulties: The dry strength of man-made cotton yarn is generally low, and the wet strength is even lower. The tension during circular machine weaving should be slightly smaller, the machine speed should be lower than that of cotton, and the humidity should be higher. Otherwise, the yarn may break, the holes may be damaged, and the cross-stripe defects may occur.

2. Severe edge curling: The single-sided plain stitch structure causes the edge of the fabric to curl inward strongly. During dyeing and finishing, the edge must be sewn into a tube for processing. Otherwise, there will be color differences at the edge and curling marks; in the cutting workshop, the cutting pieces are also prone to curling, and the difficulty of cutting is higher than that of cotton sweat fabric.

3. Weft slant/spirality (spirality): A common problem in single-sided knitting. The loops of man-made cotton sweat fabric are prone to distortion during washing, and the side seams of the washed garment will be twisted. When shaping is required, a shaping loom should be used, and the overfeeding process should be controlled. Otherwise, the side seams of the garment will run off and twist after washing.

4. Shaping and pre-shrinking are crucial

The base fabric must be shaped to eliminate internal stress during weaving, stabilize the width and weight, and prevent the formation of chicken claw wrinkles and creases during dyeing.

Unshrunken base fabric may shrink by 8-13% after washing. With rubber blanket pre-shrinking treatment, the shrinkage can be controlled to ≤-5% in the warp direction and ≤±5% in the weft direction, which is a mandatory requirement for the order.

For man-made cotton spandex products, the shaping and re-shaping processes are indispensable. Otherwise, the elasticity will be unstable and the size will fluctuate greatly.
